ARGONNE M. WALKER 1934-2007 Services for Argonne M. Walker, 72, of Canyon Country, Calif., and formerly of Lompoc, will be 1 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2007 at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Tom Horton of Crossroads Community Church, officiating. Vandenberg Air Force Base Honor Guard will present military honors. Argonne was born November 30, 1934 in Hinton, Oklahoma to Raymond and Ada Porter Walker. He was raised and educated in Oklahoma and graduated from Hinton High in 1952. After 21 years of service, he retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1977. He later worked for the Litton Corp. in Van Nuys and retired as an electrical engineer. He passed away Thursday, January 25, 2007 at the Henry Mayo Memorial Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Ernestine Sue Walker of Canyon Country; brother, Kenneth Walker and wife, Betty of Lompoc; niece, Dixie Stevens of Lompoc; nephews, Dixon Walker of Littleton, Colorado and Kenney Ray Walker of Fall City, Washington. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements are in the care of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
