The Flint Journal - January 16, 1986 - p. C2:3 ARMSTRONG, William (Bill) A. - Of Flint, age 73, died Wednesday, January 15, 1986, at St. Joseph Hospital. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday at Brown Funeral Home, 1616 Davison Rd. Interment at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. Mr. Armstrong will lie in staet at the funeral home after 1 PM Friday. Family will be at the funeral home 1-4 and 6-9 PM Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Crippled Childrens Fund. Mr. Armstrong was born in El Reno, Oklahoma, March 7, 1912. He moved to Hillsdale, Michigan in 1919 and had resided in Flint since 1937. On June 11, 1942, he was married to Cecil M. Allchin He was a member of Cambrea Masonic Lodge, Cambrea, Michigan, served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was 32nd Degree Mason, member of Elf Khurafeh Shrine Temple, Flint Shrine Club, Flint Exchange Club, was employed by Fisher Body for 15 years, and had owned and operated Armstrong Advertising for many years.
