Armstrong Born in El Reno, Oklahoma on November 12, 1918. Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on February 1, 2007. Preceded in death by her husband, Harry Armstrong, she is survived by her daughters Harriett Agar, Carolyn Armstrong, Mary Maxwell (Don), Janice Fertuna (Edward), and Colleen Mason; nine grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren (soon to be fourteen, including a namesake). She was a homemaker for most of her life, and was very active in College Park PTA during the 1950's. She began working for W.T. Grant Company in Santa Clara in the late 1960's. She continued working for several years with various local businesses and eventually retired as office manager from Screenco. An excellent seamstress, she also enjoyed painting, playing the piano and organ. We will treasure the many fond memories of holiday songs and singing. Her garden was her expression of beauty to the world. She was a joy to know, loved by all who knew her, and will be dearly missed. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Oak Hill Funeral Home's Chapel of Roses, 300 Curtner Ave in San Jose, CA, on Monday, February 19, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. private inurnment at Mission City Memorial Park. Donations may be made to your favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
