Born November 19, 1912 in rural Canadian County Parents: Bert Levi BEECHAM and Ida May TOLBERT BEECHAM Died September 4, 1995. Graduated from Oklahoma State University (Okla. A&M at that time) in 1935 with Civil Engineering Degree. Married Jennie R. McCOLLUM January 18, 1936. Well-known upstream watershed construction engineer who retired as Asst. State Conservation Engineer on the Soil Conservation Service staff in Stillwater, OK. WWII officer in the 1st Engineering Amphibious Brigade from 1942-46. Participated in D-Day invasion of Normandy, allied invasion of Sicily and Salerno, the campaign of North France, Rhine and Central Europe. Retired from U.S. Army Reserves as a Lt. Col. Active member of Quail Springs United Methodist Church. Member in the Soil and Water Conservation Society, Kiwanis Club and lifetime member of OSU Alumni Association. Preceded in death by parents and sister, Gladys L. HUNT. Survived by wife, Jennie of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Karen BEECHAM of Dallas, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Mike MOORE of Edmond; brother-in-law Ed HUNT of El Reno; and three grandchildren, Matthew BEECHAM, Rachel BEECHAM and Kimberly MOORE. Services Sept 7, 1995, Quail Springs U.M. Church with interment at the El Reno Cemetery, El Reno, OK.
