Brown, Howard E. 

BORGER - Howard E. Brown, 83, died Saturday, March 8, 1997.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First Christian Church with the 
Rev. Tom Harrison, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 4:30 p.m. 
Tuesday in El Reno Cemetery, El Reno, Okla. Arrange

ments are by Brown Funeral Directors.

Mr. Brown was a native of El Reno, Okla., and a Borger area resident for 
57 years. He graduated from Oklahoma State University, where he received 
his degree.

He married Genevieve Long in 1937 at Wichita Falls.

He was a retired mechanical engineer with Phillips Petroleum. He was a 
member of First Christian Church and a 50year member of Isom Masonic Lodge 
No. 1355. He was also a member and past patron of the Order of the Eastern 
Star No. 811.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Kristi Stokes of Knoxville, 
Tenn., and Sylvia Smyth of Sugar Land; four grandchildren; and a great-
granddaughter.
