Cole, 78, of Yukon passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on August 27, 2005. Services will be held on Saturday, September 3rd, 11:00 am, at the Unity Church of Oklahoma City, 5603 NW 41st. St. Oklahoma City. Born August 15, 1927 in Mount Olive, Illinois, he was the son of the late Dr. Daniel T. Cole and Anna Marie Berg Cole. He was graduated from Southern Illinois University. During his 40 year career as an industrial salesman, he worked for Westinghouse, Nordsen, Allied Construction Equipment and Eutectic Corporation. However, he was proudest of his service aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid (CV-11) in the Pacific Ocean during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Blackburn Cole; his stepchildren Duane Blackburn, Michael Blackburn, Susan Tate, and their children Matthew Blackburn, Lisa Cannon, and Jessica Blackburn. He is predeceased by his sister Jacqueline Rock. He is also predeceased by his wife Ruth Ann Cole and survived by their children Janet Cole Waggoner of Fort Collins, Colorado; William D. Cole of Kapolei, Hawaii; Robert L. Cole of Manchester, Michigan; John E. Cole of Glen Ellyn, Illinois; and James A. Cole of Rogers, Arkansas. He is survived by his grandchildren: Jason Deckard, Samantha Grazier, Robin Waggoner, Daniel Cole, Elbert Carrier, William Cole, Melissa Cole, Sara Cole, Patrick Cole, Ann Elizabeth Cole, Jennifer Cole and Harrison Cole, and great-grandchildren Zachary Deckard, Kaitlin Deckard, Molly Deckard, Erin Deckard, Tristan Cole and Tanner Grazier.
