He was born March 8, 1949 in Wisconsin to Mervin and Norma Chesbro Dobbs and grew up in Renwick, Iowa. He was a 1967 graduate of Renwick High School and attended college after graduation. He was a longtime employee of Celestica (formerly AT&T, Western Electric and Lucent) where he worked as an electrician. He was a member of Mustang United Methodist Church and Pioneers of America at Celestica. Survivors include his parents Mervin and Norma Dobbs of Zearing, Iowa, his wife Annabel and one son Brent both of the home, two daughters Courtney McDonald and husband John of Sapulpa, OK, Danae Battles and husband Justin of Mustang, three grandchildren Morgan, Eryn and Cole. Also by two brothers Mike and Dean Dobbs, two sisters Pat Bjorklund and Deanne Stansbury all of Iowa. He was preceded in death by two brothers Charlie and Dick. In lieu of, flowers donations may be made to the Memorial Funds at either Mustang United Methodist Church in Mustang, OK or Trinity Baptist Church in Yukon, OK. Memorial Services will be held at 10 AM on Friday January 3, 2003 at Trinity Baptist Church, Yukon, Oklahoma with interment following later in Eagle Grove, Iowa. Local arrangements are being handled by McNeil"s Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, OK.
