All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Hooker Cemetery--Hooker OK Edith Fankhouser.texas HOOKER, Okla. - Edith Fankhouser, 84, of Yukon, died Sunday, April 25, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in United Methodist Church in Hooker with the Rev. David Cook officiating. Burial will be in Hooker Cemetery by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Fankhouser was born and raised in Tyrone where she graduated from high school in 1932. She attended business school in Wichita for a year. After her marriage, she, her husband and brotherin-law traveled in south Texas and New Mexico building highways for four years until moving to Hooker. In Hooker, Mrs. Fankhouser managed the school cafeteria for Hooker Public Schools for 15 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and helped with funeral meals and the annual Ground Hog Supper. She married Dale Fankhouser in 1937 at Raton, N.M. He died in 1979. Survivors include two sons, Mike Fankhouser of Tulsa and Bill Fankhouser of Yukon; a daughter, Pat Roehr of Panhandle; 11 grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Hooker Library or a favorite charity. Memorials will be accepted at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, OK 73945.
