All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Amarillo Globe News 8 Jul 1998 Amanda DeHarde Farris EL RENO, Okla. - Amanda DeHarde Farris, 93, a former Hooker resident, died Monday, July 6, 1998, at Liberal, Kan. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Hooker Cemetery with Elder Milton Rice officiating. Arrangements are by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home of Hooker. Mrs. Farris was born in Marion County, Kan. She moved with her family to Tyrone and later to Hooker. She married John Henry Farris in 1938 at Dalhart, Texas. They lived in Dalhart before moving to Liberal, Kan., and in 1965, they moved to El Reno, where they retired. Mr. Farris died in 1990. In 1994, she moved to the Good Samaritan home at Liberal, Kan. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and also of the Rebekah's Lodge 4 in El Reno. Survivors include a brother, Edward DeHarde of Scotts Bluff, Neb. The family will greet friends at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
