All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== French, Noba Ellen Noba Ellen, long time Oklahoma City resident and school teacher, passed away August 6, 2002 at Spanish Cove, in Yukon, Oklahoma. Born March 2, 1915, in Nile, Canadian County, Oklahoma, to John E. French and Martha Ellen Jackson French, she moved to Oklahoma City as a small child. After graduating from Classen High School and Central State Teachers College in 1937, she began a life-long teaching career, first in Red Oak, but soon moving to Capitol Hill High School, where she taught until her retirement. She received her Master's Degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1949. During her teaching career, she was named Oklahoma City Teacher of the Year, and received many other honors. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, William French. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Beatrice French of San Antonio, Texas; nephew, Jim French of San Antonio; niece, Marsha Niedecken of Wimberley, Texas and their families. She is also survived by many members of her extended family who were very important to her, as well as many friends, some with whom she shared a life-time of memories. She was affiliated with several organizations, including Oklahoma City Classroom Teachers Association, Retired Teachers Association, Kappa Kappa Iota, Delta Kappa Gamma, Embroidery Guild and Delta Pi Epsilon. Family will greet friends Wednesday evening at Guardian West Funeral Home at 7:30 PM. Services will be 10:00AM, Thursday, August 8th, at Guardian West Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. GUARDIAN WEST 41 & N.
