All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Franken, John Willard Services for John Willard Franken, born April 16, 1936 to Joseph Earl and Dora Mae (Chesmore) Franken at Sapulpa, Oklahoma will be held 10:00 AM Friday, November 29, 2002, at the Eufaula First Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Johnson officiating. Eulogy given by Chuck Weber. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements under the love and care of Gregg Funeral Home of Eufaula, 1000 Birkes Road. (PH: 918-689-5322). He was self-employed, being the owner of Seasonal Snacks and Phillip 66 Station located on West Hwy. 9. He was a member of the OGBA Association and was of the Baptist Faith. He married Arlys Jean McCubbin at Porum Landing July 30, 1984. His survivors include his wife, Arlys Jean, of the home, two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Gary Byars of Shawnee, Crystal and Bill Snider of Oklahoma City; one son and a daughter-in-law, John W. and Mary Franken of Jones, OK; one brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Connie Franken of San Jose, CA; one sister and brother-in-law, Earlene and John Monroe of Bend, Oregon; his mother-in-law Sally McCubbin of Manson, Iowa; six grandchildren, Johnny Ray and Jessica Faye Byars, Brandi Michelle. James Edward and Shaun Ashley Franken, and Hunter Snider; two great-grandchildren, Destiny Dawn and Cherokee Dawn. His parents, and a grandchild, Johnny Dean, preceded him in death. Serving as pallbearers were Russell Lanham, J.C. Brady, Johnny Pollard, Audie Laughlin, Fred Easterling, and Dal Davis. Honorary bearers were John Massey, Lloyd Beery, Ron Spears and Floyd Holder.
