"Millie" Mildred M. 'Millie' Hockett, 82, of Yukon, Oklahoma passed away on April 19, 2003. Mildred was born on March 17, 1921 in Okeene, Oklahoma to Fred and Beatrice Metzler. Mildred graduated from Okeene High School in 1940 and married Ray Jay Hockett on September 12, 1942. Mildred resided in Okeene until 1975 at which time she moved to Yukon, Oklahoma. She has lived in Yukon, Oklahoma since 1975 and resided at Ranchwood Nursing Center for the past four (4) years. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Jay Hockett, her brother, Eddie Metzler, sister, Edith Bierig and sister, Marie Lamle. Survivors include her son, Fred Hockett and daughter-in-law, DeLaine Hockett of Yukon, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Jennifer King and husband, Jim, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Amy Schreiber and husband, Josh, of Boise, Idaho, and sister, Bertha Geis and husband, Victor, of Okeene, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be held on April 22, 2003 at 3 o'clock p.m. at the Collins Cemetery in Okeene, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Yanda & Son Funeral Home of Yukon, Oklahoma.
