All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Gracelawn Memorial Park--Wilmington DE Hornblower, Robert Roy Robert Roy Hornblower, age 67, of Piedmont, passed away, October 9, 2003. He was born February 7, 1936 to Ralph and Lola Hornblower in Penns Grove, New Jersey. He graduated from Penns Grove Regional High School. Bob worked for the Du Pont Company in Deepwater, New Jersey, immediately upon graduating from high school. He then worked for the Aerospace Division of Haveg Industries in Wilmington, Delaware. In the early 1970's he worked for two major exterminating companies in Florida. Bob bought an exterminating company in Oklahoma and has lived in Piedmont since 1979. He was a member of the Piedmont Town Council from 1981 to 1985, and was Mayor from 1985 to 1987. Bob enjoyed all sports, but especially football and NASCAR races. He was dearly loved and will be missed. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, of the home, and a daughter, Donna Frick and husband Kurt of Skiatook, Oklahoma. He is also survived by three wonderful grandchildren, Taylor, Garrett and Kirsten Frick. Also surviving are his brothers, George Hornblower of Woodstown, New Jersey, and Joseph Hornblower and wife Virginia of Carneys Point, New Jersey, a sister Laura Cranage and husband Raymond of Lady Lake, Florida, nieces, nephews, many cousins and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Danny & Ricky, a daughter Deanna and a sister. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to everyone at Cancer Care Associates for their wonderful treatment and care for Bob during this past year and a half. Services will be held Monday, October 13, 2003, 10:00 A.M. at the Piedmont First United Methodist Church, 4th and Monroe Streets, Piedmont, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the church or to The Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation, 1609 Garden Street, Santa Barbara, California, 93101. Interment will be at Gracelawn Memorial Park, Wilmington, Delaware. Friends may call at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 8701 N.W. Expressway, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Sunday, October 12, 2003 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
