Hazel M., 87, of Calumet died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at Geary Community Nursing Center in Geary, OK. Hazel was born Aug. 12, 1915, at Wanette, OK, the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Ethel Clara (Layton) Sisk. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church in Calumet: and Extension Homemakers. She married James Melvin Harman on Oct. 27, 1932, at Watonga, OK. Melvin preceded her in death on July 28, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Floyd, Leonard, and Lowell Sisk; sister, Bessie Lee Ball; and a grandson, Joel Melvin James. Hazel is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Leota Harman of Calumet, OK ; daughters, Joyce Shawver of Geary, OK and Jean James of Calumet, OK; sister, Emma Brown of Wichita, Kansas; 8 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. Services will be Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, 10:30 a.m., at the First Christian Church in Calumet, OK with burial at Canadian Valley Cemetery. Huber-Benson funeral Home, El Reno, OK.
