(Schieber) Jameson was born December 27, 1927 to John H. and Lillian (Constien) Schieber South of Okarche, Oklahoma. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 22, 2002 at the Logan Hospital and Medical Center in Guthrie, Oklahoma at the age of 74. Wilma graduated from Okarche High School, and worked at the El Reno Chamber of Commerce for a short time. She was united in marriage to Lee Roy Jameson July 23, 1948 at Bethany, Oklahoma. They have lived northwest of Calumet all their married lives. They began a dairy operation with a rented barn and three cows, and later bought 160 acres and started their farming operation. They built a dairy barn in 1950, began enlarging their dairy herd, and expanded their farming operation and their family during those years. She was a full participant in the family dairy and farming operations, serving as secretary for the Associated District Milk Producers Auxiliary. She and Lee Roy quit dairying in 1980, but have continued their farming operation, producing certified and registered seed crops and an Angus cow-calf livestock herd. In 1982, they were named Canadian County's 'Farm Family of the Year'. She was confirmed in the spring of 1941 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in El Reno, OK and attended the First Baptist Church in Okarche. She was an avid sports fan of the children's and grandchildren's sports activities. Wilma was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother with a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Lillian Schieber, and one sister, Betty Smith. Surviors Include: her husband Lee Roy Jameson of the home, Calumet, OK; four children, Peggy Kates & husband Ben of Cashion, OK, Donna Eisenhour & husband Charles of El Reno, OK, Don Jameson & wife Debra of Oklahoma City, OK, and Janice Garlett & husband Grayson of Calumet, OK; 10 grandchildren, Chris, Tim, Kevin, & Rebecca Kates, Sonya & Daniel Eisenhour, Kelsey & Julie Jameson, and Seth & Erin Garlett; three sisters, Ellen & Forrest Yates, Irene & Arthur Wiedemann, and Shirley & Johnnie Wiedemann all of El Reno, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to the Okarche First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 637, Okarche, OK 73762 or the charity of your choice. Services: El Reno First Baptist Church, Wed., 2:00 P.M., Sept. 25, 2002, El Reno, OK with Rev. James Inman & Rev. John Chennault officiating. Burial: El Reno Cemetery, El Reno, OK under the direction of the Turner Funeral Home, Geary, OK.
