He was born on April 13, 1916 to Cornelius and Emma Kamm in Sickles, OK. S.J. graduated from Sickles High School in 1935 and from Okmulgee Technical College in 1948. He married Iva Belle Livingood on Feb. 20, 1937 in El Reno, OK, sharing 65 years together. He was a decorated World War II veteran. He moved to Texas in 1951 to work for Texas Pipeline. Retiring from Getty Oil in 1979 as an Oil Field Gauge Operator, S.J. and his lovely bride settled in Union City, OK. He was a deacon at Chisholm Heights Baptist Church. As a family man, S.J. enjoyed gardening, fishing and being a fisher of men. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, 3 sisters and his beloved daughter, Connie Minchew. He is survived by his wife, 1 sister Evelyn Kamm, Sickles, OK, 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tues., Jan. 7, 2003, 10 AM at Chisholm Heights Baptist Church, Mustang, OK with interment at Hinton Cemetary.
