Mowdy, Jack Jack, 67, of Yukon, died April 23, 2003 in Yukon. He was born November 27, 1935, to Leonard Franklin and Mary Grace Susan (Bell) Mowdy in Carson, Oklahoma. Jack married Frankie Joan Batson on September 3, 1954. He was a franchise services manager with Century 21 Real Estate. During Jack's career, he served as director and president of the OKC Metro Board of Realtors. He was instrumental in the creation of the Mustang Chamber of Commerce and is a past chamber president. Jack served as Mustang Vice Mayor, Councilman and eight years on the Canadian Excise and Equalization Board. He was appointed by Governor Nigh to serve on the Engineer and Surveyor Board. Jack enjoyed playing golf every weekend. He considered golf an all weather sport. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He is survived by his wife Frankie of the home; two sons, Jackie Ray Mowdy, Jr. and his wife Judy of Houston, TX, Joe Lynn Mowdy and his wife, Monica of Crossville, TN; two daughters, Janet Sue Saelens and her husband, Michael of Biloxi, MS, Jill Ann Erbacher and her husband, Robert of Carrollton, TX; a brother, Joe L. Mowdy of OKC; two sisters, Veda Curtis and her husband, Jim of OKC, Joyce Thomas and her husband, Randall of OKC; his step father, Wiley Glenn; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Franklin Mowdy and Mary Grace Susan Mowdy Glenn. Bearers will be David Homer, James 'Butch' Cowan, Jeff Green, Bill Elickler, Jeffrey Whittington and Ron Mowdy. Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 26 at the Primrose Chapel with Pastor George M. Lupton officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
