All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Paulsen, Sharon Finn Sharon Finn Paulsen, 59, of Mustang, OK, passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 8, 2003. At her bedside was her husband of 35 years, David Paulsen, who devoted endless love, time, and effort during her long illness. In addition to her husband, Sharon leaves behind two daughters, Lisa-Marie Bates of Canton, GA, and Michele Cottle of Austin, TX, and three Granddaughters. Born in Torrington, CT, June 25, 1943, she was the daughter of the late David W. Finn and Margaret M.C. Murphy. Sharon graduated from St. Francis School in 1957 and Torrington High School in 1961. She was very involved in school activities, as well as being an avid swimmer, diver, gymnast and an instructor with the local YMCA in her teen years. Her career began in the Torrington Social Security Office. After her marriage in 1967, the family relocated to Dallas, Texas, then Atlanta, Georgia, returning to Dallas, before settling in Mustang, Oklahoma. Sharon worked for the Social Security Administration for thirty-six years. She retired in October of 2000 having survived the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building on April 19, 1995, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In Connecticut her two brothers, William D. Finn and Gary M. Finn, and two sisters, Paula Finn Amenta and Marian A. Finn, four Nephews and many relatives survive her. At her request, Sharon's body was donated for education and medical research. Her ashes will be interred at a later date. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2003, in Austin, TX. Sharon is closer to her Angels now. Memorial Contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
