"Herb" Perdue, 87, of North Bend, at 2 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2005 at the Family Worship Center, 2060 Lincoln St., North Bend. Pastor Richard Merando will officiate. Cremation rites have been held. Inurnment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery in Eagle Point, Oregon. Herb was born January 16, 1918 in El Reno, Oklahoma, the son of John and Anna (Watson) Perdue. He died December 11, 2005 in North Bend. He was raised and educated in Oklahoma and serviced in the Navy during WWII. Herb settled in Medford, Oregon where he worked for Medco and as an engineer on a "skunk line" steam engine. He later moved to Ventura, California where he met Louise. They were married in 1969 and they moved to North Bend in 1974. Herb worked in the maintenance Department for the City of Coos Bay until retiring. He enjoyed camping and fishing, rock hounding and going to the beach. He was a member of the Family Worship Center in North Bend. He is survived by his wife Louise Perdue of North Bend; sons, Chuck and Carmen Perdue of Butte Falls, Tom and Nancy Perdue of Phoenix, Rufas and Kay LaLone of Silverton and David LaLone of Salem; daughters, Peggy and Gary Webster of Ft. Mojave, AZ and Kathleen and Jim Mattern of Coos Bay; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Perdue; five brothers, John, Jim, Carl, Fred and Charles; and a sister, Edna.
