She courageously battled cancer for over eighteen years. She was born on December 6, 1946 to Fred and Della Schmidt of Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Regina graduated from Crawford, Oklahoma High School. After two years at Southwestern State College in Weatherford, she received her certificate in Cosmetology. On April 27, 1968 she married Ervin Penner. To this union two children were born. In December of 1979 they moved to El Reno, Oklahoma. She was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker. She extended her friendship to all she met. Regina organized the "Red Hats of the Prairie and was the Queen Bee until just a short time ago. She especially enjoyed all of her activities with them. Regina's parents, Fred and Della Schmidt of Cheyenne and her brother, Ronald Schmidt of Hydro, Oklahoma preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Ervin Penner and granddaughter, Shelbby Warren of the home; a son, Michael Penner and wife, Annie of Yukon, Oklahoma; a daughter, Jeanna Nodal and husband, Danny and their children, Jessica, Isabelle and Colon of Elk City, Oklahoma; a sister, Aleta Lohberger of Elk City. She is also survived by her adopted family, Robert and Deiddre Albreck and their children, Abigail and Clay of Washington, Oklahoma as well as many brothers and sister-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. Services will be held at The First Baptist Church, 401 S. Bickford, El Reno, Oklahoma, on July 22, 2008 at 2 p.m. with burial at the El Reno Cemetery. Funeral Services provided by Wilson Funeral Home, 100 N. Baker, El Reno, Oklahoma. Memorial may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 S.
