Ritchey, 75, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in San Jacinto Church of Christ with Mike Suiter, pulpit minister, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mr. Ritchey was born in Lockney. He was a longtime resident of Amarillo. He retired from Baldwin Trucking Co. as a truck driver. He was a member of San Jacinto Church of Christ. He married Inez Hinsley in 1950 at Carlsbad, N.M. She died in 1998. Survivors include a son, Vernon Ritchey; three daughters, Ora Dee Johnson of Yukon, Okla., and Wanda Nelson and Donna Bilbrey, both of Amarillo; a brother, Fred L. Ritchey of Longview; two sisters, Aline Spies of Hallsville and Deanna Lockmiller of Ranchville, N.M.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The family suggests memorials be to High Plains Children's Home. The body will be available for viewing from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
