All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 25 April 2002 Paul Lawrence Rother - Canadian Co. 1 Dec 1917 - 22 Apr 2002 :Holy Trinity Cemetery OKARCHE — Funeral Mass for former Lawton resident Paul Lawrence Rother, 84, Okarche, will be said at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Church with the Revs. Ed Weisenburger and Marvin Leven officiating. Mr. Rother died Monday, April 22, 2002, at his home. Burial will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery under direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home, El Reno. Prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the church. Mr. Rother was born Dec. 1, 1917, in Okarche to Frank and Elizabeth Rother. He attended Holy Trinity School there. He served with the Army’s 90th Infantry Division in World War II. He married Naomi Kremeier on July 22, 1949. He bought the Culligan Water Conditioning franchise in Lawton in 1957 and was involved in the business until his recent retirement. He also had been a farmer. Survivors include his wife, of the home; five sons and daughters-in-law: Paul "Sam" and Linda Rother and Dan and Mary Rother, all of Lawton; Dale and Marian Rother and Tim and Robin Rother, Okarche; and Kevin and Donna Rother, Tulsa; four daughters and sons-in-law: Karen and Keith Schroder and Teresa and Mike Grellner, all of Okarche; Bobbi and Dan Ottis, Norman; and Sherry and Clancy Gray, Tulsa; two brothers: Louis Rother, Okarche; and Robert Rother, El Reno; a sister, Margaret Murphy, El Reno; 32 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Franz and Bernard. Memorial contributions may be made to Father Stanley Rother Seminary Burse, P.O.
