Saxon, 67, of Piedmont, went to be with the Lord July 5 after a short illness. He was a native Oklahoman and a carpenter by trade. His many achieve- ments included an accomplished fencer, a talented writer, an ordained minister, and a licensed mission worker at Mabel Bassett Correctional Center. He was an avid builder and flyer of RC model airplanes. His loving heart was demonstrated by the many people and animals he rescued and nurtured. He is survived by his loving wife of ten years, June; 4 stepsons and 4 step-grandchildren; a son, Duncan, and two grandchildren; three daughters, and numerous friends, relatives and cherished pets. A memorial service will be held at Surrey Hills Baptist Church on Friday, July 12th, at 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Russell-Murray Hospice, El Reno.
