Stejskal, age 88, passed from this life on December 3, 2003, at his home in Yukon, OK. A Farmer/ Rancher all his life, he was born October 1, 1915 on the family farm west of Yukon, living there until 1973, when he bought land at Anthony, KS. That year he married Betty Smith Krshka. They enjoyed raising cattle, and farming for 20 years before moving back to Yukon to retire. After retiring, Ralph remained very active, working in his shop, dancing, traveling and listening to Czech music. He was a member of the WFLA Lodge #67, serving many years as President and later as State President; Oklahoma Czechs, serving as First Vice President and was one of two founding fathers of the Oklahoma Czech Festival held in Yukon, and since its inception in 1966, Ralph only missed working the festival one time; Banner Coop; Anthony, Kansas Coop and Oklahoma Polka Club. Survivors include his wife Betty of the home; daughters, Linda Laverty and husband Eddie of Yukon, Becky Sebring and husband Gordon of Edmond, OK and Claudia Dyer and husband Curtis of Broken Arrow, OK; son, Tom Krshka of Yukon and grandchildren, Matt Laverty and wife Carey, Cara Laverty, Ashley Sebring, Kyle Krshka, Scott Dyer and Katy Krshka. Also surviving are two sisters, Agnes Patzack of Yukon and Rose Netahla of Bluff City, Kansas; sister-in- law, Gene Stejskal of Oklahoma City as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Ralph is preceded in death by his mother & father, Joe & Anna Stejskal and brothers, Emil, Joe, Charlie, Lidy, Stanley, Roy and Robert. Donations may be made to the Mabel C. Fry Library, Yukon, OK. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 6, 2003, at the Yanda & Son Chapel, Yukon, OK, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery.
