The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ==================================================================== Surnames: Watson, Gorgas, Smith, Lewis, Lawton, Chapman, Allison, March, Shettee Mrs. John Watson(Susan Lucretia Gorgas Watson) expired last Saturday evening at the El Reno sanatarium from the result of an attack of typhoid fever.(Aug. 24, 1912) She had been ill for several weeks and everything that tender care and medical science could accomplish was done to save her life. She was the wife of John Watson who was a deputy sheriff of Canadian county a few years ago. The family resides about thirteen miles southwest of El Reno. During Mr. Watson's term of office, the family resided in El Reno and Mrs. Watson(Susan Lucretia Gorgas Watson) won the admiration and esteem of a large circle of El Reno's best citizens. Besides the husband, three children, her mother and two sisters survive her. Mrs. Watson's (Susan Lucretia Gorgas Watson) mother and two sisters of Hobart were here to attend the funeral which was conducted by Rev. G. Lyle Smith, Monday afternoon at the Christian Church. The pallbearers were George Lewis, Bruce Lawton, W.H. Chapman, J/T. Allison, T. March and Otto Shuttee. --------------------------------------------------------------------
