Williams, Sr. He died May 31, 2004 in Oklahoma City at the age of 79. He grew up in southeastern Oklahoma and attended Heavener High School. Roy left high school to serve in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific theater. Roy is survived by his wife, Martha Van Gundy Williams, El Reno, Okla.; and his children, Diana Newman, West Mineral, Kan., Karen and Stanley Almgren, Alva; Sharon and Richard Cromwell, El Reno;p Beverly and mark Weitzenhoffer, Baton Rouge, La.; Roilyn Patterson, El Reno; Randy and Cheryl Williams, El Reno; and Betty and Ralph Crawford, Austin, Texas. He is also survived by his step children, Barbara and Mike Thompson, Chickasha; Mary Jane and Ray Stevens, Yukon; Veda and Rod Harper, El Reno; brothers Wilmer Williams, Clark E. Williams Jr., Joe Williams, Claude Williams; a sister, Mildred Newton. He was 'Papa Roy' to 22 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Darrell Williams; and son Larry Bullen. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., June 3, 2004 at Ellison Avenue United Methodist Church. Rev. Charlie Broam will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will be in the Resurrection Cemetery in Oklahoma City, under the direction of Wilson's Funeral Home in El Reno. Memorials may be made to the Ellison Avenue United Methodist Church, 600 S.
