She was born September 28, 1937 in Wilson, Oklahoma. Carolyn and her husband, Donald, ran the drug abuse prevention center in Santa Barbara, CA. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Beckman of Gilbert; sisters, Jacqueline Mathews of Gilbert, Marianne Shaw of Globe, AZ, Rebecca Field of Gilbert, Jo-Ellen Doyle of Vacaville, CA; brothers, Dan Blanchard of So. Deerfield, MA and Byron Blanchard of Queen Creek, AZ. Carolyn is predeceased by her husband, Donald. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 8, 2006, at Melcher Mortuary Chapel of the Roses, 43 S. Stapley Dr., Mesa. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity of choice.
