Chatham jchatham@texhoma.net ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Services for Bill Copenhaver, 72, will be at 10 A.M.Friday at First Baptist Church with the Revs Dennis Dawson and Phillip Fox officiating. Internment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park,Ardmore, under the direction of Reser Funeral Home. Copenhaver died may 12,1998, in a Wilson health care facility after an extended illness. He was born to Wiiliam Henry & Arlena Reeves Copenhaver June 12,1925 at Healdton and had lived there most of his life. He worked in California during World War II building fighter planes and owned two service stations in Healdton before working for Lewis-Magneto. He owned and operated Bill's DX station from 1962 until he retired in 1988. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge, Lions Club and was a fire department volunteer for 20 years. He and Ophelia Nolen were married June 14, 1947, in Ardmore. Survivors include his wife, of the home: a son, Bob, Oklahoma City;two daughters,Cindy Dawson, Henryetta, and Sharon Patton, Fort Smith, Ark; and eight grandchildren. Bearers will be Greg Jean, Steve Sullivan, Terry Rozzell, Mike Porterfield, Louis Scott and Frankie Fryer. Honorary bearers are Rusty Thomas, Bill Dawson, and Leon Ham.
