Nov 7, 1934 Aged Minister Dies At Wilson Rev. J. A. CLOWDUS Had Been in Methodist Ministry 45 years Wilson Nov. 7 - (Special) - The Rev. J. A. Clowdus, a retired M. E. minister, died here late Sunday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. C. WALKER, 1003 South 5th Street. The Rev. Mr. Clowdus was born June 10, 1850, at Birmingham, Ala. He had been a Methodist minister for 45 years. The funeral was held in the M. E. church at Wilson, Rev. J. W. ODEN conducting the services, assisted by Chas L. JOHNSON, pastor of the Church of Christ. Interment was in the Keller cemetery. The Richeson Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. The Rev. Mr. Clowdus is survived by three sons, Floyd of Keller; J.M.D. of Wilson; and a son in Oklahoma City; two daughters, Mrs. J. C. WALKER of Wilson, and another who lives in Birmingham, Ala., and several granchildren and great grandchildren.
