The Rev. James Cearley of Tecumseh, Okla. will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Jerry Rhoades. Mrs. Christian was born on Dec. 2 1878 in Jack County, Tex. and moved to Indian Territory in 1898. She was the widow of George Washington Christian who died in 1932. Mrs. Christian was a charter member of First freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Christian died Friday in a local hospital. She is survived by four sons, Henry Christian of Lone Grove; William Edward Christian of Minco; Sam Christian of Fox and Hugh Christian of Tecapa, Calif. Also five daughters, Mrs. Katie Butler, Fillmore, Calif; Mrs. Margaret Powers, Lancaster, Calif; Mrs. Maybelle Hooten, San Benito, Calif; Mrs. Hilda Guinn of Coalgate and Mrs. Mattie Lee of Ardmore. She is also survived by three brothers, Jack McBee of Fowler, Calif; Roy McBee, Healdton; and Wrilegh McBee of Ozark, Ark: a sister Margaret McCurley of Port Chicago, Calif; 49 grandchildren: 118 Great grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Herman Green, Lamar Howell, Vernie Cypert, Elwood Hallensty, Frank Callender and Othel Kyle. Interment will be in Newport Cemetery under the direction of Bettes Funeral Home.
