All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Cement Cemetery--Cement OK Comanche County Chronicle Carl Chaney Written by: Hodge Funeral Home September 8, 1934 ~ January 19, 2005 CEMENT- Funeral services for Carl Thomas Chaney, 70, of Cement, were held Saturday, January 22, 2005 at 2:00 PM in the Pentecostal Holiness Church, Cement, with Rev. John Zwolle, pastor, officiating. Mr. Chaney died, Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at his home in Cement. Burial was in the Cement Cemetery, Cement, OK under the direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher. Mr. Chaney was born September 8, 1934 in Healdton, OK to Clifford and Jewell (Harvell) Chaney. He was raised in the Keechis north of Cyril. He married Norma Jean Zigler, February 1, 1954 in Cyril. He had worked in the oil fields and had lived in Kansas and Texas but eventually making their home back in the Cyril-Cement area. He had most recently for Tri-County Oil Company then Chaney and Cogburn Company having to retire due to ill health in 1994. When he had time, Carl enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean, of the home, a son, Tommy “Randy” Chaney, of Cement, a daughter, Carla Diane Haney, of Rush Springs, 1 sister, Judy Bond, of Pawhuska, 2 brothers; Elvin Chaney of Cement and Clinton Chaney of Chickasha, 5 grandchildren; Dewayne Mayberry, Robin Mayberry, James Mayberry, Jana Mitchell and Miranda Reader, 8 great granddaughters and 1 great grandson.
