Born 11/24/1951 in OKC to Dr. and Mrs. Dean Robertson. Married G. Bridger Cox on 6/10/1978 in OKC. Known by her friends as Kathy Lou. She was best known as a great mother, wife, and trusted friend. She was crowned Little Miss Cotton of Oklahoma in 1962. She attended Edgemere and Harding schools in Oklahoma City. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and Little Sisters of Minerva. She was a teacher for over twenty years. most recently second grade at Plainview Elementary School. She taught pre- school and Vacation Bible School and was a member of the Sanctuary Guild at First United Methodist Church. She was president and charter member of Association of Professional Oklahoma Educators. Kathy Lou was involved in numerous community organizations and activities. Her enthusiasm for family, friends, and life was contagious - to know her was to love her. Survivors include her husband, G. Bridger Cox of the home; son, J. Bridger Cox; daughter, Courtney Cox both of Ardmore; parents, Dr. and Mrs. Dean Robertson of OKC; three sisters, Mirinda Hyde and Julie Leverett both of OKC, and Sally and Mickey Kern of Edmond, OK; 5 nieces and 1 nephew. Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church of Ardmore. Under the direction of Craddock Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. The family will host a luncheon in their home at 111 Woods Lane in Ardmore following the service.
