  DENNY, Robert funeral services were held 19 Mar 1998 at the Crystal Rock 
  Cathedral. He passed away Mon, 16 Mar 1999, at his home in Lone Grove,
  age 71.

  He was a retired Sheriff of Carter Co. and a 38 year veteran of law 
  enforcement. He began his career as a Lone Grove Constable and, in 1970, 
  was elected Sheriff of Carter County, serving until he retired in 1990.

  Denny was preceded in death by two sons, Larry and Jimmy; five brothers 
  and six sisters.

  He is survived by his wife, Vanessa; sons, Charles, Oklahoma City and 
  Bobby, Lexington; daughters, Kim Hegwood, Germany and Sharon Gates,
  Bartlesville; brothers Vernon, Ardmore and Wayne, Lone Grove; sisters, 
  Helen Helms and Thelma Denny, Ardmore; nine grandchildren and 13
  great-grandchildern.
