Dickey, Edna Marie Gallagher "Mike"

Edna Marie Gallagher "Mike" Dickey, 84, passed from this life 
Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, in Granbury, following a brief illness.

Funeral Mass: 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church 
in Granbury. Visitation: 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home. 
Rosary: 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mike Dickey was born Aug. 4, 1921, in Ardmore, Okla., to Fergus and 
Edna Gallagher. She graduated from Visitation Academy in Dubuque, 
Iowa, and married Roy Franklin Dickey Sr. on Dec. 26, 1942. In 
addition to raising her seven children, she was active in assisting 
Dr. Dickey for many years in his optometric practices in Vernon and 
Acton.

Mrs. Dickey was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; eight 
brothers and sisters; and a great-granddaughter, Sarah Jane Truelove.

Survivors: Sons, Roy F. Dickey Jr. of Plano and Thomas M. Dickey of 
Grand Prairie; daughters, Diann Waddill and husband, Bill, of 
Abilene, Donna Milner of Ardmore, Okla., Cheryl McGraw and husband, 
Tom, of Wilmington, N.C., Barbara McCauley and husband, Michael, of 
Ardmore, Okla., and Janie Truelove and husband, Tim, of Vernon; 20 
grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
