All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Rose Hill Cemetery--Tulia TX Georgia Estes TULIA - Georgia Estes, 90, of Burleson and a former resident of Tulia, died Monday, Aug. 31, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wallace Funeral Home Chapel with James Pope of Colonial Baptist Church of Plainview officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery by Wallace Funeral Home of Tulia. Mrs. Estes was born and raised in Brock, Okla., where she attended schools. She moved to Tulia in 1951. She was employed in several cafes and was active in the Senior Citizens and the Satellite Center. Mrs. Estes was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tulia. She moved to Burleson in 1993. She married Lon Estes in 1925 at Brock. He preceded her in death in 1960. Survivors include a daughter, Mae Jean Smith of Eugene, Ore.; three sons, Jerry Don Estes of Burleson, Glen Arnold Estes of Amarillo and Kenneth Deen Estes of Plainview; a sister, Millie Mapp of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren. The family will be at the home of Deen Estes, 2308 Norma in Plainview. They suggest memorials be to the Satellite Center of Tulia.
