Jeff Washington Fountain was born, June 29, 1884, Wild Cherry, Fulton County 
Arkansas,  died, Sept. 15, 1946, Ardmore, Carter Co. Oklahoma, buried , 
Rosehill Cemetery, Carter Co. Oklahoma.
Jeff married, Nov. 28, 1905, at Midland, Oklahoma,  Vashti (Vestie) Swafford, 
born, Sept. 19, 1886, died, Oct. 31, 1918, buried Rosehill Cemetery, Carter 
County, Oklahoma.
Jeff and Vashti had two daughters, Thades Irene Fountain Hammer, born, 
June 5, 1911 and Mary Fountain Henderson , born, Dec. 27, 1913.
Three children  died as infants,  son, Jeffy, daughters, Rosa and Jessie, 
all buried in Center Cemetery.
After the death of his wife Vashti during the 1918 flu epidemic, Jeff W. 
Fountain remarried to,  Della Mae Taylor,  b., Nov. 30, 1877, died, 
Jan. 5, 1943, she was a schoolteacher.   Jeff Fountain was a barber in 
Ardmore, Oklahoma, Carter Co.  Jeff Washington Fountain, was the son of 
Joseph Fountain and Sarah Lavina  Culp Fountain of, Fulton County, Arkansas. 
Jeff's Fountain's siblings were,  John Henry Fountain,  Sarah Fountain 
Sullivan, Rebecca Ann Fountain Anderson Burns, Nancy Ellen Fountain Blackburn,  
and Nora Belle Fountain Downing.
