Oklahoma, married, Maggie Palmer. John and Maggie had two daughters, Opal , born, March 20, 1912, Ardmore, Oklahoma and Pauline, born, July 11, 1914, Ardmore, Oklahoma. John Henry Fountain made a trip from Province to Ardmore in October of 1918 to take medicine to his brother Jeff's family who had the flu, by December the 1918 flu epidemic had claimed the life of John Henry Fountain, he was only 27 years old. John Henry Fountain was the son of Joseph Fountain and Sarah Lavina Culp Fountain of, Fulton County, Arkansas.
