All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Fletcher Cemetery--Fletcher OK Comanche County Chronicle *Florence Conrad Written by: Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher January 18, 1924 ~ January 29, 2005 FLETCHER- Funeral services for Florence Conrad, 81, of Fletcher, will be Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at 2:00 PM in the First United Methodist Church, Fletcher, with Rev. Mike Mahaffey, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Conrad died, Saturday, January 29, 2005 in a Lawton hospital. Burial will be in the Fletcher Cemetery, Fletcher, OK under direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher. She was born January 18, 1924 in Wilson, OK to Abram K. Ezzell and Willie (Mauldin) Ezell. She had moved as a child from Wilson to Fox to Cement, before her family settled in Fletcher in 1937 and she attended school at Fletcher. Florence married Howard Conrad, April 22, 1941 in Duncan and made their home in Fletcher. She worked as a clerk in several local grocery stores before being employed as a clerk for Sears Roebuck of Lawton and retiring from Sears in 1974. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Fletcher and was a member of the Rebekah Lodge. Survivors include; her husband, Howard, of the home, 2 daughters; Ann Challis and her husband, Jerry of Centennial, Colorado and Jean Bennett and her husband, Larry of Tulsa, OK, a sister, Winnie Jean Jaques of Duncan, 4 grandchildren; Linden Todd Challis, Mark Adam Challis, Andrew Frederick Bennett and Michael Conrad Bennett, 5 great grandchildren; Austin Conrad Challis, Bradley Keith Challis, Brenna Loraine Challis, Heather Nicole Challis and Matthew Frederick Bennett. She was preceded in death by her parents A.K. and Willie Ezell and one brother, Sidney Ezell who died in WW II. Visitation began Monday, January 31, 2005 at Hodge Funeral Home
