E. Hardeman died at 9:50 Tuesday night. He was 88 years, eight months and 16 days of age. Funeral services conducted by Dr. Lee Rector of the First Baptist Church will be held at 10 o'clock Thursday morning at 1222 A Street northwest. The music will be in charge of the Baptist choir and the pall bearers include, Ed Sanlin, E. B. Luke, F. D. Cornell, B. C. Forbes, Joe S. Berkshire and John F. Easley. Three children survive, they are Mrs. Georgia Hardeman [sic] and Mrs. S. W. Huey of Ardmore and J. L. Hardeman of Arizona. Thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren survive. Born in Tennessee T. E. Hardeman was born in Tennessee in 1839. His first move was to Texas and from that state he came to Ardmore in 1891. He was proprietor of the Commercial Hotel near the Santa Fe Station until the explosion of 1915. The building was wrecked. Thomas E. Hardeman was always a success in business. He raised a fine family of children and gave them the best advantages. He had that sense of honor which was the characteristic of the pioneer in this country."
