Funeral: 1 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home on North Sylvania, with the Rev. Lawrence Hammond officiating. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials: Friends who desire are respectfully requested to make contributions in Peggy's name to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 9707, Fort Worth, Texas 76147. She was born Aug. 29, 1911, in Belton. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Hammett, moved to Ranger, where she attended high school. She married Lomer J. Hunt in 1926 in Ranger. She organized the Fort Worth Riverside Lady Lions Club. She was a member and past president of the T.C.U. Fine Arts Guild and was a member of the Fort Worth Opera and a member of the Fort Worth Woman's Club. She was a member and past president of the Fort Worth Riverside Lions Club. She was president and a long time member of the Riverside Civic Association. She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star. The Hunts were members of the Petroleum Club and the Fort Worth Club. She and her husband owned Hunt's L Bar Ranch near Ardmore, Okla. The Hunts also owned the Exxon Service Station at E. Belknap and Sylvania for 47 years. The Hunts were married for 72 years at the time of Mr. Hunt's death in 1998. Survivors: Son, Don and his wife, Samye; grandson, David and his wife, Teresa; granddaughter, Suzi and her husband, Edward Gamez; and two great-grandchildren, Lauren and Andrew Hunt; and step-grandchildren, George and Charles Gamez.
