McClure Sr. Carl M. McClure Sr. DUMAS - Carl M. McClure Sr., 70, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, in Oklahoma. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Temple Baptist Church in Dumas with Mickey Medcalf, cowboy preacher and family friend of Oklahoma City, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. McClure was born Jan. 23, 1932, in Ardmore, Okla., and raised in Enid, Okla. He married Jo Ann Busbee on Jan. 1, 1954, in Clinton, Okla. He has been a Dumas resident since 1956. He was a coach and a big supporter of sports for young people. He was employed for several years at American Zinc and Dumas Independent School District. He retired in 1997 as a gatekeeper for Diamond Shamrock after 20 years of service. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Carla Jo McClure Reeves of Dumas; three sons, Phillip McClure of Oklahoma and Donald McClure and Carl M. McClure Jr., both of Dumas; two brothers, Fred A. McClure Jr. of Atlanta and Charles R. McClure of Dallas; a sister, Lou Nelson of Guymon, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family will be at 814 Durrett St. in Dumas.
