ETTA ANN MCMILLEN Funeral for Mrs. Etta Ann McMillen, a resident of Carter County for the past 60 years, was Friday afternoon at the Freewill Baptist Church in Wilson, conducted by the Rev. G.W. Hanks. Burial was in Hewitt Cemetery. Mrs. McMillen died Dec. 8, (1948) in her home, at Wilson, after a three years' illness. She was the mother of 12 children. Survivors include four sons: Henry and Clarence, Wilson; Virgil Littlefield, Texas and Albert of Bailey, Texas; and two daughters, Mrs. Leona Gilcrease, and Mrs. Beulah Fitsimmons, Wilson; 25 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Grandsons served a pallbearers. They were Elmer, Chester, Orville and Lavoy Fitzsimmons, and Clifford and A.C. McMillen. Richeson-Bates Funeral Home was in charge.
