R. Alexander, Clovis, N.M., where she had been visiting for the past six months. She was the widow of R. W. Morris, Ardmore. Other survivors include a son, Gilbert Morris, Plant Foreman for Pepsi-Cola Bottling company. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, pending return of the body to Ardmore by Bettes. {source: The Daily Ardmoreite, Ardmore, Carter, OK 22 Sep 1953, front page] Morris Rites are Scheduled Services for Mrs. Ellen Keeton Morris, 80, who died Tuesday in Clovis, N.M., will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Bettes Chapel. Burial will be in Legate Cemetery. George F. Carter, minister of the Central Church of Christ, will preside. Serving as pallbearers are Lem Keeton, Von Keeton, Morris Keeton, Guy Keeton, James R. Cox and Buster Cox. Mrs. Morris was the widow of R. W. Morris, Love County farmer, and had lived in this community 55 years. She was born Nov. 11, 1872, in Pilot Point, Texas. Survivors incclude one son Gilbert M. Morris, 825 B Street Southeast, a daughter, Mrs. J. R. Alexander, Clovis; three brothers, John Keeton, Sanger, Texas; Bud Keeton, Lone Wolf; Walter Keeton Hollis; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Farris, Hollis, and Mrs. Maude Stevenson, Amarillo, Texas; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
