All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Fort Worth Star Telegram 4 Mar 2005 Smith, Lila Leola 1926 - 2005 Lila Leola Smith, 78, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at a local hospital due to complications of congestive heart failure. Memorial service: To be held at a later date. Memorials: Charity of choice. Lila Leola Smith was born in Oil City, Okla., on May 24, 1926, to Joseph and Leona Cargo. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. Her source of greatest happiness was the dedication of her life to almighty God, Jehovah and her baptism in 1954. Being one of his Christian witnesses for more than 50 years, and sharing her faith with others meant everything to her. We know that she is safely resting in God's hands until she stands again in the resurrection. Lila was preceded in death by her father; mother; and her dear husband of 56 years, Winford Z. Smith. Survivors: Daughters, Linda Kay Stephens and husband, Daniel, of Arlington, Joyce Gail Storie of Bedford and Lisa Smith of Arlington; grandsons, Daniel Stephens Jr. of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Michael Shawn Storie of Bedford; sister, Vera Jane Smith of Amarillo; and many nieces and nephews.
