W. P. Stansbury, at Church. Funeral services for Earl Nolen Thomas, 28, who died Monday Night at the home of his mother, Mrs. John Thomas, 706 Carter Avenue Southeast, were scheduled to be held Tuesday afternoon at 4"oclock at Baum, with the Rev. W. P. Stanbury, pastor of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiating. Thomas, who came of a prominent pioneer Baum family, has been in ill health for a long time. He was born April 28, 1907, and had lived in Ardmore for the past six years. Bettes Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Besides his mother, Thomas is survived by an 8 year old daughter, Jacqualine Thomas; four sisters, Mrs. Jack Osborn of Maud; Mrs. John Fisher, Mrs. Mary Bean and Mrs. Alta Smith, Ardmore, and a brother, John Thomas Jr. Oklahoma City. Earl: d: 10 June 1935 of tuberculosis in Ardmore, Carter County, OK. He was buried in the Thomas Cemetery after services were held in Baum on 11 June 1935. He was an oil-field worker. He was born 28 April 1907 in Baum OK. to John Thomas and Martha Jane Brumley-Pratt Thomas. He was the youngest of their children and was given the name Nolen because he was born after the rolls were closed so he got no land.
