Wilson Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, November 23, at the Reck Baptist church, by Rev. C. O. Bigbie, of Ringling, for James E. Wilson, who passed away Thursday. James E. Wilson was born in Collins County, Texas, March 17, 1865, departed this life at Ringling, Oklahoma, November 20, 1941 at the age of 76 years, 8 month and 3 days. He was united in marriage to Mellisa King in 1898. She preceded him in death three years ago. He leaves to mourn his going, one step-son, R.J. King, Quinlan, Okla., two grandchildren, Roberta King, Oklahoma City; Mrs. A.R. Witcher, Quinlan; one great grandchild, Dianna Rae Witcher, Quinlan; several nieces and nephew, two of whom were present for the funeral, Mrs. Ernest Pruitt of Ringling and Mr. Champ Means of Orr; and a host of other relatives and friends. One brother, Bee Wilson of Dolores, Colo. was unable to attend the funeral. Interment was in Reck Cemetery with Richerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
