Submitted by: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mrs. Wright Passes Funeral services were conducted at the family residence Wednesday afternoon at 2 P.M. for Mrs. Lavina Wright, eighty-year-old pioneer. Mrs. Wright had been sick for some time. Walter Ray conducted funeral services with interment in Graham cemetery. Collier Brothers had charge of funeral arrangements. Mrs. Wright was born in Cleveland, Tennessee, May 14, 1854 and died July 3, 1934. She was well known in the western part of Carter County. Survivors are daughters Misses Mittie and Lillie Wright, Mrs. Ethel Emberling, and son Griff Wright. Printed July, 1934 in "The Healdton Herald" in Carter Co., Oklahoma Background information: Lavina was married to George W. H. Wright and her parents were J. R. and Nancy Harvil Geurin; siblings included Thomas Geurin, Susan B. Geurin Fletcher, George W. Geurin, William M. Geurin, her twin brother Louis Kendrick Geurin, James Buchanan Geurin, and half-brother Timothy Tyler. Nancy Harvil Geurin Tyler was buried at the Chagra Cemetery in Carter County.
