United States Court for the Northern District Convened Here Monday- Phillips Convicted of Murder United States court for the northern district convened in Tahlequah Monday afternoon, Judge Jos. A. GILL presiding, C.A. DAVIDSON, clerk, W. H. DARROUGH, marshal, prosecuting attorneys HUCKLEBERRY and RIDER, and Grant VICTOR jailor. These officials came in over the Ozark route, as did also seventeen prisoners to be tried at this term of court. The grand jury with W. O. BRUTON, of Muldrow, as foreman, was sworn and charged as to their duties. Up to this time 20 true bills have been found and a number ignored. The jury will very likely complete their labors today. Mink DRYWATER, introducing liquor, jury trial, verdict of guilty, sentenced 30 days in Vinita jail and $10 fine. Thomas TRIPLETT, forgery and uttering forced writings, continued. A. A. TAYLOR, burglary, continued. Dan WALTERS, larceny and receiving stolen property, failed to appear for trial, bond ordered forfeited. John TIDWELL, disturbing peace of family, failed to appear for trial, bond ordered forfeited. A. J. LENNOX, murder, plea of insanity, transferred to Sallisaw. Caoline C. BARRON, murder, plea of guilty, not sentenced.
