ALFRE ARDEN GIPSON

Graveside funeral services for Alfre Arden Giposn 79, of Herber Springs, AR will 
be held at 10 a.m. July 29, 2002 at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery.  

Alfre was born April 20, 1923 in Hartford, AR the son of William Franklin and 
Mabel (Grissom) Gipson, and he passed from this life on July 22, 2002, in Herber 
Springs.  

Alfre graduated from Shaddock High School in Shaddock, OK.  

After graduating he served as a United States Marine from 1943 to 1946.  

Alfre received his bachelor's degree in education from Northeastern State 
University in 1949.  

He taught briefly and then worked for DX Sunray Oil Co. in Arkansas and 
Tennessee.  

Alfre was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.  

Survivors include three sons, Dale Gipson and wife Emma Bell, of Stilwell; 
Michael Gipson of Little Rock, Arkansas and Casey Gipson of Ash Flat, Arkansas; 
one daughter Anita Gipson of Tulsa; two granddaughters, Megan Gipson and Shelby 
Gipson.  And many friends and loved ones.
