Fred “Duke” Brett officiating. Interment will follow in the Bill Batt Cemetery at Rocky Ford under the care of Green country Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers are Tommy Copeland, Gary Don Howe, Don Allen Eubanks, James Battenfield, Joe Zamayoa and Jess Copeland. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Blevins and Jimmy Duvall. Karen was born on Jan. 31, 1956, in Tahlequah. She was one of six children. Following a long illness, Karen went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 8, 2005. Karen was raised in the Tahlequah area and attended Grand View School before graduating from Tahlequah High School. Karen married Paul Battenfied in 1995. They made their home in the Woodall area, where Karen had been a longtime member of the community. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother to her family, and loved taking her grandchildren to the rodeo. Karen was preceded in death by a grandson, Dalton Trammel. Karen is survived by her husband, Paul, of the home; sons, Donald Wayne Trammel and wife Brandi of the home, Jerrod Keith Trammel and wife Shahna of Moody, and Gensing Trammel and wife Amber, also of Moody; her parents, Bill and Ann Kissinger of Tahlequah; sisters, Shirley Copeland and husband Jess, Verna McNeil, Janice Copeland and husband Tommy, and Gail Blevins and husband Larry; brother, Richard Kissinger; grandchildren, Ty, Cherish, Kaitlyn, Dakota, Preston, Shyann, Gensing and Billie; brother-in-law James Battenfield; many nieces, nephews; and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
